The hotel was clean with excellent eating facilities. Bedrooms clean and good size. Underground car parking fab especially as heavy snow at time of travel. Mini bus transfer very efficient and I was only person in return leg. Also kept my own car keys. I would definitely used the Arora again.
Would defintely stay here again. A little drive to the airport, but very straight forward. Clean rooms with excellent ameinities
did not realise until we landed that transfer coaches do not run after 10pm at night so the hotel got us a taxi. Having complained about this the taxi arrived quickly and the hotel had got us a good price. Many thanks
this hotel offers excellent value for money. the hotel itself is spotlessly clean and easy to reach by transfer bus or train.its just a short walk into town where you can eat out if desired
I was so impressed with my stay at the Arora Int. I stayed for one night before collecting my parents from an early flight in to Gatwick. The rooms were clean, modern and nice and dark at night. The view from my window was internal and overlooked the bar/lounge area which I liked. The gym was basic but had reasonably hi-tech machines. I ate in the Italian restaurant where I was slightly disappointed with the food (which was very expensive). I used the well stocked shop which was useful. The car park was expensive (£10 for an overnight stay, but considering how secure it was, it wasn't too unreasonable, however if I had paid more than the £40 rate for my room I would have been more upset by this amount. The hotel and the car park were both secure and I felt very safe there as a young female guest on my own. It took me about 10-15 minutes to get to Gatwick in the morning, but I was held up at a level crossing. I'd defintely stay here again and book through gosimply.com. A perfect budget hotel stay for the night before an early flight. On check in, I noticed several pilots and air hostesses checking out, so it probably books up fast.
From the minute we entered the hotel to arriving at the airport was both relaxing & excellent value for money.
Upon arriving at the Arora you are greeted by a sleek modern facade, entering the lobby the staff are friendly and well informed of each guests needs. The rooms are large, comfortable and clean. Modern immaculate bathrooms with both showers and baths. It's located around 10 mins drive from Gatwick's car parks which makes it a perfect hotel to visit before you fly.
We stayed here before our two week trip to Orlando and in short it was an excellent way to start our trip. Fully rested and with a good meal from the bar/restaurant the night before. The bathroom was amazing. Would def stay here again.
On arrival to our room we found an old peeled hard boiled egg in the fridge showing it had not been checked from previous guests. Also, the milk had not been replenished for the tea facilities. We requested an early morning call to allow us to have breakfast before we went to the airport only to discover you only do continental breakfasts at that time. We were not informed of this when we enquired on checking in. On leaving the airport to return home I rang for my car to be brought to the terminal and had to wait well over half an hour for it to arrive. By this time all of the airport carpark suttle busses had long since gone prooving this NOT to be a faster option. When we got into our car the seat was reclined so far as to think someone was sleeping/resting in it and the two big bags of sweets that were left in the car had gone but one of the empty bags had been left thrown on the floor!
I won't be using this hotel again. Overall, this was a good hotel to use. However, with the shuttle bus only running once per hour, it's not ideal. In particular, on your return journey, after a 10 hour flight, we'd just missed the shuttle bus and was told to wait an hour. Instead, we got a taxi, which was more expensive but a better option than sitting at the airport for an hour. This may seem like a small point, but the poor shuttle service would definitely stop me using this hotel in future - which is a shame as the hotel was pretty good.
Check in was slick, room was great and all staff very curteous. Everything was clean and smelt fresh. Transfers to airport were good and upon our return the transfer bus was with us within 10 minutes of our phone call. We shall definately use the Arora for future flights from Gatwick.
The rooms are spacious and very modern. We ate in the restaurant which had lovely food and excellent service - with a reasonable price tag (approx 40 pp - starter, main and drinks). No breakfast included, and we had planned to get something at Gatwick, but it was SO busy and crowded we could not get anything at all - so leave much earlier than required to be able to fit in a breakfast if you are flying out mid morning. Car parking was great, on site, appeared to be good security and the shuttle bus was useful, but be prepared to wait for it as it only comes once per hour and you have to ring up for it at the shuttle bus phone area.
Hotel was immaculate, minimalist so appeared a little cold. Room was clean, new(ish) bathroom and shower excellent. Close to town for restaurants. Transfer to airport was quick & easy, but would probably not be so in busier periods. On return the pick up was outside the airport as we came out and was straight back to hotel. We have stayed in many airport hotels & this was probably the best. Will definately use again, if the price is right.
The Staff in the hotel were great and the room was lovley and en-suite out of the world. I would say do not eat in the Morgan pub within the hotel We had gammon and eggs with fries and a burger with fries. The dinner was cold even the eggs and the service was slow it took nearly 40 min to recieve the food.
A very nice hotel to stay in before our flight. Well presented hotel, very helpful staff and nice restaurant. Would always use this hotel prior to flying from Gatwick
Car return at airport only 10 minutes from phone call - superb Hotel first class as was transfer to airport So nice to have a service to rely on - thank you
Information on return trip to hotel was very misleading. We ended up having to get a taxi back to the hotel as the coach stopped at 10pm which wasn't obvious in any of the paperwork. This added an additonal £16 to the cost!
Returning my car to the airport on arrival took longer than I expected, but otherwise a good deal for meet and greet and staying at Gatwick the night before an early flight.
Apart from the potential disaster of not being woken up in time for our flight, the hotel was great. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. The restaurant was excellent although they had run out of both wines we chose which was disappointing. The extended parking worked well and we would definitely do it again, but take our own alarm clock!
Being further away from the airport in Crawley, the shuttle bus was delayed resulting in a 45 minute wait for the bus upon our return. We were advised that this was due to heavy traffic, however we were the only pick up!?
