We booked a combined deal with the Ramada (stayed several times before and its clean and quiet and conveniently close to the airport. W've never eaten there though so can't comment on the food) and Maple Manor Meet and Greet (using for first time). The deal seemd good but there a couple of vitel bits of info missing at time of booking that should be made clearer in future. 1. Its only M&G on the way home. The car is picked up ovenight so you've got to leave stuff in it before going to bed AND then have to catch a bus transfer at £3pp next morning. This isn't made clear until you check in at the hotel. 2. as a result of the car being picked up the previous evening you might also have to pay an additional £5 for an extra day parking too (you do get a warning about this but the 'why' wasn't clear. This is all a little disappointing at the start of the holiday but the overall price isn't too bad even with those little extras. The parking service on the way home is great and much better than bussing back to a car park and you're on your way home that much quicker.
We were very pleased with this hotel. The staff were most polite and helpful. We left our car parked here for two weeks while we went on holiday. Regular shuttle-buses to Gatwick.
I booked the Ramada with the parking meet and greet service and was really impressed. I had read on various reviews of the hotel about a £5 charge for parking but this was never mentioned or charged. As I was traveling with my 15 month old toddler a travel cot was provided in the room, the staff were efficient and helpful and the room clean. We used the restaurant and again no complaints, they also do children's meals. I will use the Ramada again, and as soon as we left Gatwick following our holiday the car was there waiting for us. A welcome sight as it was freezing and raining.
The meet and greet parking is great after a long journey to get your car just outside arrivals. Its fab!
If you are parking, you will need to arrive early as there are limited spaces.
Spaciuous rooms, comfortable accommodation - the meet & greet parking service was very convienent.
Difficult to rate as I only stayed the one night before leaving from Gatwick Airport the following morning. The hotel is conveniently placed for both motorway and airport access. The Reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
I had booked a room overnight and meet and greet parking for the week. The staff were friendly and helpfu. The family room was excellent and the transfer to the airport was very smooth. I would certainly do this again.
The room was clean and a good size, staff were friendly but the meal we had in the restaurant appeared to have been heated up in a microwave, at least that is how it looked and how it was presented. For a 4 star hotel the meal was poor quality and not good value for money it was extremely disappointing. Having stayed in Ramada hotels worldwide this was the worst for eating!
The bar was a bit busy because of a wedding reception, but it did not take away the experience
The hotel was very good value for the deal we got, it was close to the airport and the room were very nice, the swimming pool although a bit small and in need of a makeover was lovely and warm and i could of stayed in there for ages. The breakfast was lovely and the staff all very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.
The room was extremely comfortable and the value for money was excellent. The customer service was spot on! A great choice and would definatley stay here again!
We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children. Family room consisted of comfy put you up bed and a sofa bed (so the children did not argue. Staff were very friendly which makes a change for large hotels.
Despite the hotel being excellent value for money the dining was so expensive we decided to eat somewhere else.
High quality food and service in restaurant. Rooms of the expected standard of this grade of hotel. Staff exceptional! e.g. even gave directions to the local Tesco store. Waited for bus but it was so late I had to book a taxi!
Our room was very clean and comfortable and the reception staff were very helpfull. It was nice to have a swimming pool on site but there was a lot of chlorine in the pool and my hair felt like straw the next day.
By far the best airport hotel I have stayed at. Will certainly book them again. Very comfortable stay and good bar with a nice bar menu. Main restaurant was a bit pricey.
Arrived at hotel in late evening, Hotel staff helpful and welcoming, great room, with excellent facilities, comfortable bed, and great breakfast at reasonable price, parking was at Summer Special on the airport site, very good service here as well. All in all a very good experience at an excellent price, many thanks.
We found the reception staff at both check in and departure (very early in the morning!) extremely helpful and friendly. My children had never stayed in a hotel before and were very excited - the reception staff at check in welcomed them warmly, which made their first stay very special for them.
I booked airport parking because we wanted to book into a hotel and relax prior to flying. We were told at the hotel that we had to drive to Summer Parking the next morning (missing the point-I could have done that from home). Even then we were flying from North. We drove to South terminal to park We then got a bus back to South were taken past North terminal and had to get a monorail from South back to North. (And of course had to do the same on the return journey). So leaving Crawley without breakfast it took us nearly two hours to get to South terminal. I can drive to Gatwick from home in two hours. Added to this the hotel was ordinairy and expensive. In all therefore it was a complete waste of money and it ruined my WEEKEND break as what I had planned to do as a little luxury caused me more stress and cost about £200. So no I am not happy and would never do this again (with this Company)-our friends did the same as us, had a fantastic hotel and left their car at the hotel) had wonderful food and a proper relax, I would like my money back please
