Standard Room facilities include a private bathroom, tea/coffee making facilities, TV and phone. Rooms also have flat screen plasma TV, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. This hotel is entirely non-smoking. Room service is available 24 hours a day. Interconnecting rooms are available on request. Cots are available in family rooms only.

Transfers to Gatwick Airport
If the Summer Special Parking package is selected:
- Transfers: Transfers operate between the car park and the North Terminal 24 hours a day, every 20 minutes. If you are flying from the South Terminal you should take the free 24 hour monorail service from the North Terminal, which runs every 3 minutes and takes around 2 minutes. You should allow around 30 minutes to drive to the car park and transfer from there to the airport. On occasion there is a service to and from the South Terminal. Please check this with the car park operator on arrival. If the service to the South Terminal is unavailable please use the free 24 hour monorail service.
- Returns: Returning home, transfers to and from the North terminal operate every 20 minutes 24 hours a day to return you to the car park. On occasion there is a service to and from the South Terminal. Please check this with the car park operator on arrival. If the service to the South Terminal is unavailable please use the free 24-hour monorail service.
Your car will be brought back to the returns area close to the reception building ready for collection on your return.
Standard on-site parking:
Transfers operate every 30 minutes from 03.05 to 23.55 by coach service between the hotel and both terminals. Transfers cost £3.00 each way for adults and £2.00 per child each way. (One child travels free for each paying adult.)
On-airport parking at the long-term car park:
Transfers to the North terminal operate 24 hours a day at no extra charge. If flying from the South terminal, guests should take the free 24 hour monorail service from the North terminal, which runs every 3 minutes and takes around 2 minutes.
Parking Arrangements
It is the responsibility of the vehicle owner to ensure that the vehicle is roadworthy, holds a valid MOT certificate and displays a valid road tax licence. The car park will not accept your vehicle if these requirements are not met.

I was really impressed with the service we received at the Crowne Plaza from the moment we arrived to the time we had our car delivered to us at the airport after our holiday. The only thing I would say against the hotel was that the meals and drinks were very expensive although very tasty.

We had a very pleasent stay at the Crown Plaza and at ease knowing the car will be safe while away. The only thing that puts us off was the 40min travel time from hotel to airport, so we paid the £14 taxi fare to get there in 5min. But will most surely stay again and would gladly use the bus if it was direct to airport and not stopping at other hotels.

When we returned to pick the car up, the receptionist couldn't find the keys and we were left standing around outside for at least 20 mins at 12.30pm at night while they attempted to track them down.Having failed he then went to find someone else as to help him. We then waited another 15 mins, while they tried to find out the cars whereabouts. They eventually found it and drove it round to us. After a long flight to Gatwick, to have to wait 40 mins at the terminal for the bus and then a further 45 mins(inc travel time to the Hotel)to get your car is really bad service. I will never use or recommend them to anyone.

The only problem was that on both occasions we stayed the hotel only provided 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel despite bouble occupancy. Quickly remedied by a phone call to housekeeing however.

Would recommend hotel to anyone. Convenient for airport. Frequent bus transfer service. Friendly efficient staff. Good food in restaurant. Both bedrooms good - especially room on return. Will be better when finished building work but nothing inside hotel is affected.

From arriving at the hotel to picking our car up at the airport one week later was all a relaxed and hassle-free affair. We even managed to enjoy the swimming facilities due to a late flight. The staff, food, room and total service was exceptional and I will use the same setup again. After being away for a week and wanting to get home, picking up the car from arrivals within 10 mins of announcing our arrival to the car park staff was simply top class.

Enjoyed staying at the Clarion Hotel; had an overnight stay before going on a 10 day holiday. Was able to leave car at hotel. So found that this was good value for money, not having to pay for airport carpark. Meals and drinks a bit expensive, but I suppose this is to be expected so close to London.

I chose the stuffed aubergine with potato puree and gorganzola topping. The Aubergine was not fully cooked and tasted very bitter, the 'potato cream' were crunchy undercooked pieces and there was no gorganzola. This is a very strong cheese with a distinct flavour, perhaps they had run out. I did not eat much of the meal and mentioned my concerns to the staff, who just cleared away my plate and brought the bill!!

We have used the Clarion twice now and will certainly use it again in the future. It is very convenient as a stop over for a morning flight, with a shuttle bus to take you to the airport. All the staff we encountered were exceptionally courteous.

It was only a one night stay to catch an early flight--room was great at a reasonable rate. The dining room was formal and pricey-not great for families; with limited local options available. The front desk clerks were both in training, but were able to answer all our questions with support. The only down side to our stay was we were located the farthest away from the elevator (both of us have physical disabilities) which increased our difficulty accessing things as well as decreased our impression of our stay.

Enjoyed my one night's stay. The hotel decor was nice and room comfortable. General hotel staff were polite; even at 5am in the morning. However, the initial service in the restaurant was extremely slow; had to ask to have our order taken as waited so long, could understand if they were busy but they only had three other tables with customers. My 7 year old daughter was given a menu that had some colouring and games but was not given any pencils which was a bit pointless but that aside, the meal was worth waiting for.
