Transfers via courtesy coach to both terminals operate between 06.00 and 23.45, taking around 10 minutes. Please enquire about pre-booking your transfer upon checking-in to the hotel. For a service from the airport, guests should phone the hotel.

Limited space is available, so if the bus is full at the time you require a transfer, please make alternative arrangements. (Taxi cost is approximately £4.00 - £8.50.)

PLEASE NOTE: Starting 1st September 2010, the hotel will charge £3.00 per seat for transfers to the airport (payable at check-in). The return journey from Gatwick to the hotel is complimentary.

If the Airparks parking package is selected, transfers are included in the price and operate 24 hours a day, taking approximately 15 minutes to both terminals.

On-site parking package: Includes parking on-site at the hotel. Please note that you may be asked to take your car to a long-term car park at the airport (at the hotel's discretion). Additional parking costs £5.50 per day. No commercial vans or pickup trucks are allowed.

Airparks parking package: Park overnight at the hotel, then in the morning take your vehicle to Airparks. If you do not have your printed parking voucher with you, ask hotel reception before checking out and they will provide you with a voucher. The car park recommends that you leave the hotel at least 30 minutes prior to your earliest airport check-in time.

Directions to Airparks: Turn left out of the hotel onto Bonhurst Road. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the A23/Brighton Road. Proceed just over a mile down this road and keep left just before the Longbridge roundabout, which brings you straight onto the London Road (A23). Continue for approximately 2.5 miles, going through one roundabout. At the next roundabout, takethe 3rd exit onto Old Brighton Road. Go 200 yards to a mini-roundabout and turn left into Charlwood Road. Airparks Gatwick is 1.5 miles ahead on the right-hand side.

Upon arrival at the car park, stay in the left-hand lane and drive through the automatic barrier. Park your car in one of the arrivals bays, remembering your lane number. Go to reception and present your booking confirmation (or quote your booking reference), along with your vehicle and flight details. Please your vehicle keys in the red key box with the same number as the lane you've parked in, then catch the shuttle bus to your terminal. (Please remove all house keys, key fobs and personal items from your keyring.) Transfers to the airport are available 24 hours a day and take around 15 minutes to both terminals.

  • Triple rooms consist of a double bed and a sofa bed.

Overall good experience. Decent on-site restaurant and well provisioned rooms. Good and convenient transfer service. When we arrived (late afternoon/early evening) there was no-one on reception for some time which resulted in a long queue. When the staff member returned it took a while to get each car booked in, as the filing system seemed in slight disarray. When they found our booking we had to fill the form in, then take a label to the car and return to hand the keys in. Notwithstanding this I would definitely use Skylane again

Room was better than the last time we stayed. Evening meal and breakfast was good.As a CAMRA member the lack of real ale was unacceptable--a trait all too common in hotels.

We only used the hotel transport to return to the hotel as our flight out was at 6.30am, the call to the taxi company was free from reception, and the taxi was on time at 3.45am. We had no problems on our return our car was ready for us to drive away. Will definitely stay again

This was our third visit and sadly it was let down by lack of heating, hence such a poor rating for room condition. Our room was very cold on our arrival, Monday 16th Jan was quite a cold day and having driven to Gatwick straight from work were looking forward to having a warm shower to freshen up. After following the instruction on the heating panel we were unable to activate the system so called for help. This arrived very promptly and we were assured that we had actually switched on the heating but it would take a while to actually come through the heating vents. We questioned if the radiator in the bathroom, which was also cold, would also warm up but were told that unfortunately the radiators were not currently working. Our room did eventually warm up but the bathroom remained like a fridge for the whole of our stay. It was very disappointing to find that after much refurbishment the heating seemed inadequate. We would appreciate your comments.

Clean hotel and room with friendly staff on check in. Excellent parking and car ready on return. Airport transfer on time and and only 10mins from airport. Price for mini bus good 3 return p.p. Return to hotel easy to arrange and on time. Will certainly recommend this hotel

Nice to be able to leave the car parked at the hotel safely. Restaurant had a friendly atmosphere - much nicer than 5* dining! Beds gave us a good night's sleep and the air conditioning/heating worked very well. Bathroom best we've seen in a hotel! Transfers efficient and friendly.

It is a pity that the transfer to the air port does not run late.Our aircraft was 2 hours late and we did not know that there was no transfer to the hotel. We had to pay out for a taxi to take us back to the hotel
