I booked 'room only' for one night It was a nice room, there was no pressure to use other services e.g. breakfast and the transfer sevice was both free and efficient. I thank them for their service. Leslie
easy to find and park very close to airport staff very accommodating wide selection of food on menu and quiet
This hotel is tired and in need of a refurbishment, no lift to the upper floor, tiny rooms ans showers could barely get through the door. We booked this thinking it was 3 star, if it is I need to revisit the star programme as I do not believe it was. Would I stay again? NO
Had to ask for a different room, original rooms en-suite light could not be switched off so fan also running all time which would have been a real problem all night. Was offered an alternative room (1 single & 1 bunk bed) overlooking carpark so not a very peaceful night.
As above. Staff would not even look at the damaged ceiling. No refund offered. No thought given to compensation. We had little time before our flight so we left our address. We have heard nothing from the hotel. We thought the hotel very poor. Very poor breakfast. Could not possibly recommend it. Question its 3 star status. It started our holiday badly.
From the price, we were expecting this to be similar to a travelinn. However, it did not live up to the standards of the chain lodges in terms of the general condition of the room and its facilities. The shower was particularly unaapealing appearing very grimy and discoloured at the bottom of the doors and having a very high unadjustable shower head. This made it impossible to shower without getting your hair very wet.
Overall, for value for money and the fact that we only wanted somewhere to stay so that we did not have to get up too early for our flight, I found this hotel good value for money. The staff were very friendly and helpful the food reasonably priced and tasty and the shuttle service arrived when they said it would. I would stay here again.
we arrived at the hotel and made welcome with chose of floors the restaurant was passable i have used this hotel twice and will use it next time i travel but only for one night if you are looking for five stars go elsewhere
You couldn't adjust the shower temp in the room and it sprayed all over the bathroom. Toilet seat gave you seasickness, although the beds themselves were clean. There was no parking available and I had to park on the street which meant moving my car by 8am. The hotel porter was very unhelpful, and when we returned from eating out had to wait outside in the freezing cold for 15 mins to wait for the porter to get back from the airport. I will never reccomend this hotel, or use it again.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the free mimi bus to the airport was on time and driver helped us with ur bags. Good hotel if on a budget and its just for a stop over for the night. Rooms were clean and have TV,kettle etc but in need of fresh coat of paint and beding and curtains etc were a little tired looking and miss matched.
Nothing special.Transfer to/from airport was easy to organise and was on time. Room was clean although in need of decorating, bed was clean too. Overall was enough for us as we only spent a few hours there.A good point was a 2for1 pub just up the road(5 mins walk) good beer excellent food!!
My wife and I stayed the one night. The hotel did the job for us, no frills just a good nights sleep and taken to the airport next morning by a friendly member of staff.
A no frills hotel, rather basic but clean and reasonably priced.
The room was filthy, the tv didn't work and the service was appalling. When I asked to change room to one with a working tv I was told it wasn't possible because we'd used the sink (!); no clean sheets were available, and there was a sex toy by the bed. There was a complete lack of willingness to help. £40 a night for a double room may sound cheap, but not if you hate every second of it.
Basic, clean hotel, warm and comfortable, 10 mins from Gatwick. Excellent pickup and return service, and outstanding service from hotel staff, they couldn't have been more helpful. Will recommend to friends.
The second hotel I stayed in was extremely smoky and since I'm used to non-smoking hotels, it never occurred to me to request a non-smoking room. The entire hotel smelled of smoke and I couldn't go for dinner because there was only a "small non-smoking section". I was sick for 3 days after staying and I firmly believe the staff should have questioned whether I needed a non-smoking room.
1st room we were given had a leaking toilet and when this was reported we were offered another towel to soak up the water. Central heating was on most of the night which made sleeping near impossible. will not be using this hotel again.
Basic hotel that was comfortable enough for sleep over. Easy transfer to Gatwick. Additional charge of £10 levied for transfer back to airport in the morning. Transfers from 6am were supposedly included in the listed price.
When guests wanted to use the dining room they were informed by dining room staff quite abruptly that the dining room was open until 8.45am and then they were shutting. This was quite clearly stated so that guests in the reception area could hear it.
I rang the hotel twice to confirm that our reservation was correct. On arrival there was NO parking space allocated for us at all, we had to park on the drive. After we had dinner at the local pub and retired to our rooms, 2 ladies were getting ready for bed when the door was unlocked from the outside and an asian man walked in. He went out quicker than he came in. He did ring and apologise but he did not give any reason for hiis behaviour apart from a mix up in the booking but as I had spoken to the hotel twice to confirm the booking I did not believe him. Finally when we returned to the hotel to collect our car they had lost the key and it took them nearly 15minutes to find . I can honestly say that I would never use the hotel again.
