You will find all aspects of this hotel a delight to use, the staff are friendly and cheerful, the rooms are very clean and tidy, the resturant prices are very reasonable and the food more than presentable, and after a good night's sleep it is just a short walk to the terminal. This is the first time we have used the Hilton but we will definitely be using it again next year. Thank you the Hilton chain.

As we were leaving from the South Terminal staying at the Hilton was the best thing we could have done. There was no hassle and rushing in the morning just a brief walk to check in. That's the way to do it! The hotel was very comfortable and offered many facilities. In our opinion the only negative was at reception. It was extremely busy when we arrived and although the receptionist was courteous it was felt that the platitudes were insincere. When checking out there was only 1 staff member at the front desk who disappeared on another guests query when we had been waiting for a while so we had to ask another guest in the queue if he would hand in our keys. Just a small point and did not in anyway upset our stay.

The Hilton was ideal for me as attached to the South Terminal and an early morning flight made my life a lot easier, as I didn't have to use the busy hotel bus or cab. The Garden Restaurant was quite nice, but when I asked if a jacket potato was available with my steak rather than chips the waiter told me he would have to speak to the chef. But on the menu, it says please ask if there is something you would like that you don't see on the menu. The room was clean, a little dark, but the poor tv ariel reception didn't bode well to watch the inroom tv. Yes I would stay there again.

Arrived at the hotel at approx 6.30pm and it took a further 30 minutes to check into our room. The room was spacious and had a very modern feel to it. It was a very clean hotel and was right on the south terminal for Gatwick Airport. The food and drink at the hotel was very expensive. We found it cheaper to book a taxi and go to the nearest town to get fed and watered. Comings and goings all times of the day and night which you would expect from a 24 hour hotel made the corridors quite noisy. Would recommend this hotel.

Not as luxurious as most Hiltons, but the site on airport is the key factor - extremely convenient for early flights. No noise from airplanes!

The overall experience during our stay at the Hilton Hotel was excellent with easy arrival and convenient 15 days "Summer Parking", an evening meal in the restaurant, a comfortable over-night family room and breakfast. The most convenient aspect was the location of the hotel to the London Gatwick-South Terminal. This resulted in a stress-free transfer to the Airport Departure area at 7:00am in great time for our 9:00am flight. For this reason we will most certainly be using this service again. Hotel situated very close to South Terminal, which was great on morning of travel, however, car parking was 5 mins away on courtesy bus, which added a further 45 minutes to journey on return from holiday. Overall stay was pleasant and comfortable.

We stayed at Gatwick Hilton for the night, as we had an early flight. The hotel is very nice and the room we stayed in was very comfortable. We also had fifteen days parking with Summer Special. We thought it was good value for what we paid.

The hotel was just what we wanted. Somewhere within walking distance from the South Terminal and somewhere to sleep for a few hours before our flight. The room was clean and comfortable and our car was collected within a few minutes of arriving at the hotel.

I booked two triple rooms for my family (party of 6) in March, expecting the rooms to be next to each other. This cost £282.62. We arrived on the evening of August 2nd after a difficult car journey to be told the rooms were nowhere near each other. Eventually a receptionist with some initiative suggested we take two adjacent double rooms and they would install an extra bed in each. We agreed, but when we went to the rooms one was still uncleaned from the previous occupants. When we complained about this it was quickly cleaned and we were offered complimentary dinner. On taking showers later we realised there were not enough towels, shampoo etc for six people (only enough for 2 in each room). £282 seemed a lot to pay for what we got.

Car parking system was simple and efficient. More regular buses on return would have prevented an extremely packed bus back to the car park late at night with children.

The overnight stay in the hotel put us in the holiday mood. We were saved the aggravation of a very early morning drive to the airport.

The experience wasn't good when we arrived. The Valet told us we could not leave our car outside the hotel whilst we waited 10 minutes for Maple Manor to arrive and were told to put our car in the the car park next to the Hilton whilst we waited. When Maple Manor collected the car we were told we had to pay £3.50 to leave the car park that we were told to park in for 10 minutes! The guy at Maple Manor was really helpful and spoke to a number of people at the hotel and explained the situation. Unfortunately the staff at the hotel seemed to be lacking customer service skills and were not very accomodating. In fact the valet guy who told us to move the car denied saying it when the Maple Manor employee approached him!

The room was very modern, furnished very well. The bathroom we had needs refurbishing. Staff were not that organised when it came to the parking. We advised that we needed access to our car until later on in the evening, they advised that this wouldn't be a problem, however it was, and our car had to remain outside of the hotel on double yellow lines (which we were told would be fine!) until the following day. The following day it was still there, we had to remind them that it needed transferring to the secure car park. Room service - we were given our drinks, with no bottle openener for the bottles, so we had to call them back to the room so we could open them. The day of check-out, the cleaner just opened our door and walked straight in without knocking! This hotel is o.k as it is convenient, but not what I would expect from a Hilton hotel.
