We only used the room overnight and the parking option; the room was excellent as was the service from the staff within the hotel. Unfortunately our car was damaged whilst in the car park.
On arrival parking was ok, check in was slow, room was large but not a high standard of cleanliness, went to eat in hotel bar waited 55 mins told them not to bother, they later contacted me in room to appologise and provide a free evening meal, but was to late had turned in for our early flight the next day. On check out tried to charge us for mini bar goods that we did not use, they checked room and then agreed with us, slow check out, good shuttle service to T3. on return again slow in reception to validate my car parking ticket.
finding it is easy the reception staff seem to be playing tetris on their screens instead of registering your presence. the doormen seem to be busy discussing the relative merits/drawbacks of their wives. breakfast is extra at GBP17.50!! i had a laugh with the nice girl who worked in the breakfast place who gave me this information. even she admitted it was ridiculous. it's cheaper at the airport!! the bus is GBP5 to the airport but clean, prompt and well driven
make sure you pack your swim ware, we love to go to the spa before the flight and after when we return. All the stess of the airport goes and your all relaxed for your onward jouney.
I chose to stay at the hotel as we were leaving early the next morning for a flight to Barcelona. We arrived in the afternoon and the staff were very helpful and made us feel welcome. We left the car in the hotel car park. Our room was clean, comfortable and fairly spacious. The hotel facilities were excellent and we made use of the swimming pool, stream room etc. The next morning the bus service was prompt picking up every 15 mins and took us to the airport terminal. The overall experience was completely stress free and excellent value for money. A great start to our holiday! Would definetely use this hotel again.
My friends & I were totally surprised when we arrived, at how luxurious & and professional everything was for the price we had paid. It came accross as a very friendly hotel with both staff & guests. Will be the first hotel we look to stay in next time we go from that airport.
having left to go to dubai in march and having an early flight we decided to stay overnight and be refreshed for the morning. parking booked and also booked a night on our return in view of early morning return and no sleep on the plane. the hotel rooms are spacious and bathroom more than accommodating - best shower i ever had. returning back we were able to take our room up at 9.00 in the morning to catch up on sleep and left at 11.00 next day. breakfast was excellent - yes the evening meals are on the pricey side as are the drinks but still wouldnt choose any other hotel. taxi was well worth the price rather than wait for the bus.
Booked hotel in adavance. Arrived about 7.30pm and were advised at check in that would need to book meal in dining room . Earliest they could fit us in was 9pm. It was a set menu with three roast some fish asnd vegetarian. When we arrived we had to wait a long time before anyone bought us a wine list. In the meantime other families went up to carvery without being told it was okay. When we eventually ordered our wine and went up to carvery there was no beef, lamb or pork left. We were very unhappy to pay full price and be given a choice of two leftovers! We did complain and although they tried to provide some beef by cooking lumps of steak they had tiold us to help ourselves to vegetables while we waited..a pointless exercise as they were then cold by the time they cooked some beef. The beef was not slices of roast beef and there were no yorkshire puddings etc left either. For a hotel of this standard it was a disgrace. There were not enough staff on to clear the tables so we were sitting in a mess of discarded napkins, food on the floor, dirty glasses etc while they set up other tables on the far side for breakfast. The person in charge tried his best to apologise but by 10.15pm with an early flight the next morning we were not very impressed. If we had only arrived at 10pm it would have been more understandable but still not really acceptable. We won't make the same mistake again.
Crowne Plaza offer a reliably excellent service, where the staff are mindful and keen to provide the very best service. The hotel is clean, comfortable and a stress free place to stay: one of the positives during the hassle of travel.
I was very pleased with the hotel and the services provided. I thought it was a great deal and would definitely stay in the Crowne Plaza Hotel again.
Nice clean hotel. Handy for Heathrow. Helpful staff
Staff where very helpfull.Room was very nice and clean and noise free.Beds and pillows comfortable.Food was very nice and the price of food and drink very reasonable.
Great service in reception. Very nice and clean.Room was large and very well equipped. Bed was super king and very comfy. We booked last minute and this was a "secret deal" where you only get details after paying. We paid £64 for one night and up to 14 days free parking and the room we had was priced at £249 what a fantastic bargain!! Definately buy this way again
very clean and had the best good night sleep.
A good quality hotel with large, well equiped bedrooms. The car parking adjacent to the hotel is on grass. Transfers to the airport are by hopper bus and were OK
I would definately consider using this hotel again if I was flying from Heathrow. Facilities were good but food and drink was a little too expensive.
Very good room. Fast Internet. Quiet. Good breakfast. Good value for money.
This hotel is great for staying prior to an early flight from Heathrow. The pool and sauna facilities are good and the rooms were fine. Parking is plentiful, but you will may to walk a distance with your bags back to your car as a silly one-way system in the car park operates. This is a minor issue though, just borrow a bell-boys trolley. The price when booked with parking is amazing, although the standard price of over £100 a night semes to be high. Meal prices seemed a little high but then im a northerner, so maybe not used to london prices.
I have only two negative, but important, things to say: 1. It would have been better for our pockets if the hotel had specifically made it known that you could book a taxi to the airport directly with them at a much better price than one taken from outside the hotel. I only found this out, purely by chance on our return(!)- and we got completely ripped off both ways to Terminal 4 (£25-£26 each way). Beware! 2. Better signage to the area designated for airport parking at the hotel - which wasn't the best as it was unmarked and either on chippings or grass. Also you can't bring your car round to the front of the hotel to load up your luggage as it's one way. Consequently we had to get a porter to load our luggage when we were dropped off at the entrance and take it through the reception area etc to the back of the hotel.
We stayed at the hotel for 1 night before our morning flight at Heathrow. Our party was 2 adults and 2 children, the all you can eat buffet at the hotel was really good quality and averagely priced. We stayed in a family room which was clean and confortable. The hotel parking was beter value than parking at the airport and after our stay we were relaxed and ready for our long haul flight. The shuttle bus to the airport was on time and plenty of seats, I recommed this hotel and would stay here again.
