Crowne Plaza Hotel reviews

We arrived for check-in on Sun 6th April after heavy snowfall during the day, as a result,(or an excuse), many BA flights from T5 were cancelled and there was approx 60 - 70 people waiting to check-in when we arrived. Although under obvious pressure, and in some cases being subject to unacceptabe abuse, in my opinion, from some of those wanting to jump the queue. The staff operated a fair & orderly system considering the circumstances. The subsequent demands on the kitchen & restaurant were met with equal efficiency & politness. I do travel a lot on business & pleasure, I have had mixed experiences of service throughout the world. I do not think this hotel could have dealt with this situation in a more professional manner than it did and should be commended. I do hope these comments are relayed to the Crown Plaza hotal

When i realised a week before we were due to go on holiday that I had booked the wrong date the hotel staff were most helpful in rearranging the booking.

I do not mind paying 100 pounds for food if it was good, but it was not. Children only ate free if off children's menu. The bus was packed, turning people away and picking up at three hotels. Give me the Holiday Inn Junction 4 anytime, not the Crowne Plaza ever again

Got a great deal on the Crowne Plaza through this site. Getting our 8.10am flight was so much nicer after a good night's sleep. The bed was comfy, bathroom clean and tidy (good power shower in the morning), had all mod cons and tea/coffee in the room. It was easy to find parking - right in front of the hotel - so we didn't worry too much about the wheels while we were on holiday. Getting the hopper bus is just slightly less than a taxi when there's two of you, but it's regular, easy and direct to the terminal. Good value for money all round.

The arrangments for collecting the car and leaving the car park at the return of the trip should be more clearly defined. We asked when booking in and were told wrongly which led to a mix up at the gate when leaving. Other than that fine and will do it again.

I was given the incorrect time of the coach for transfer to the airport, it left 20 minutes earlier than I was told. Had to get a taxi at 0445 to get me to the airport on time, extra expense.

Nice relaxing night, parking was very easy, evening meal very good, will most certainly use again.

As mentioned hotel was excellent would def book again, great value for money with the parking the only draw back which was minor was the hopper in the early hours am was not punctual and thus very busy!!

After an easy drive down from the Midlands along the M40, we quickly located the hotel. We parked the car on the spacious car park, and after swiftly booking in we were allocated our room number. Our room was clean, quiet and very comfortable, with two large beds, which made for a very good nights' sleep. We went along to the swimming pool and leisure centre, which is excellent, and enjoyed the facilities. The bus to the airport the next morning ran regularly, we didn't have to wait longer than 10 minutes and we left our car parked safely on site for 15 days. This is our second stay at the Crown Plaza prior to a long flight from Heathrow and I think it's the perfect way to start the holiday. On our return we took the car parking ticket to reception to get it validated and were quickly on our way home. I can't fault the Crown Plaza and have recommended it to my work colleagues. I look forward to our next stay.

good hotel, however restaurant was very poor. we waited 1 hour to be seated, 1 hour for food to arrive and the food was very bland and over priced. Also hotel could not supply us with directions to purple parking.

We thought the rooms were a good size, clean, and convenient to the airport. The check in and out was fast and courteous. The room was clean and the bathroom amenities were very nice.

parking was cheap, but the actual fly park area was unlit and very accessible from the road (and therefore to my mind not particularly secure). I therefore parked on the hotel car park itself, which was well lit and difficult to access from the road. There were loads of spaces. Fly park people were herded towards the not so good area. Its no good parking cheaply if you get back and your car is gone or vandalised.

As we had an early flight, staying so close to the airport took all the stress out of catching the next day's flights. We parked at the hotel for 2 weeks, so we didn't hand over carkeys to anyone, or have to catch another bus to the carpark.

I would highly recommend this if you have an early flight as it lets you get a couple more hours sleep. Also the morning traffic around Heathrow is terrible but this can be avoided if you use the Hoppa bus service which uses the bus only lanes - saves about an hour of sitting in traffic. For those of you with nice cars you also get the peace of mind that no one is going to use your car while you're away as you don't need to leave your keys.

The best thing We did was to book a night before stay,in the hotel so we didn't worry about traffic and also the 130 miles journey from home to Hewthrow would have been too much for us all in one with the 6-7 hours plane journey. Crowne Plaza is a great hotel, we used it before in Italy and I would recomend it, but the beauty of it all was to get to stay in a beautiful hotel and get parking as well, what can I say, we didn't have to impose on family or friends to take us, and it did cost less. The only thing we did wrong we didn't use the transort provided by the hotel instead we got taxis both ways which cost us £40.00. Well our fault we will be more careful next time. Tahnk you

Very convenient for Heathrow airport. Large clean spacious rooms, good choice of food from three of the bars or restaurants, we had a selection of Tapas dishes which were fantastic and reasonably priced. Kind and friendly staff on arrival! Would definitely return to stay on our next flight out.

The hotel was great, the staff were friendly and efficient. The parking was easy. The whole experience was one of convenience and I would probably do this again as I arrived at the airport stress free. The only downside was the lack of childrens food on offer in the restaurant.

An excelent hotel. Near enough to the airport for the 'Hotel Hoppa' but far enough away to be out of earshot of the planes. Friendly staff and very rapid service. We travelled with an infant and requested a cot at check-in - the cot arrived at our room at the same time we did! Would recommend to anyone.

Hotel much nicer inside than it looks from outside. Really spacious room, comfortable bed. Good toiletries and little botle of mouthwash which was a nice touch, wouldn't bother with my own toiletries in future. Would definitely use again. Didn't have breakfast but dining room was packed so presume it was good.

The only reason for the lower score on the condition of room was that someone had left some fish in the fridge and as soon as we opened the door to the room there was a terrible smell. The housemaids were good in that they took the offending item away and sprayed the room with air freshner but it still took a while for the smell to go.
