Transfer to and from airport took longer than expected. The cost of £4 per person each way seemed a bit high!

The pub in the village next to the hotel (2 mins walk) has good beer and reasonably priced decent pub food (better than the hotel bar food which I tried last year, although I have not tried the "proper" restaurants). The hotel is typical of its type, comfortable enough and run efficiently on the two occasions I've used it.

Excellent value for money for accommodation and car parking. Prompt bus service well organised. Would certainly use the service again.

Getting from Holiday Inn to Terminal 4 was terribly slow, and required Hotel Hoppa bus, then long walk to tube, wait for tube then another long walk to check in. Returning was worse.

I was very disappointed in this hotel. Having stayed in several Holiday Inns worldwide this one was the worst. The staff had a "couldn't care less attitude". For example - having left my luggage with the concierge for a couple of hours I returned to collect it to find a huge winding queue at his desk whilst 4 reception staff were stood chatting behind the reception desk!!! I waited for 20 minutes while he was checking people in and there was still at least 12 people in front of me. Another lady behind me was getting very annoyed as she too only wanted to collect luggage. We asked the reception staff why they were not checking people in and they said because these were crew. There was a Crew Check-in desk to the right of reception with another person standing around!!!! After much discussion we persuaded one member of reception to go and get our bags. She came back and said she could not find them so we would have to wait!! Both myself and the other lady went and found our own bags and left!!! The food was disgusting and extortionately priced(room service). I ordered scampi and chips which was almost cold and apple pie and custard which appeared to have been just thrown on the plate - cold. Next morning the banana I ordered as part of my breakfast was forgotten. The room decor was tired and shabby with a huge hole in the carpet by the bed. If this is a 4 star hotel I dread to think what foreign tourists think of Britain. I will make sure I never risk a stay in a Holiday Inn again and warn everyone I know not to use that particular one. I have just spent this weekend in a B & B in the Cottswolds and it far surpassed the Holiday Inn in every respect and only cost me a third of the price.

We were very satisfied with the service. Food at the hotel was excellent. Our car was returned in perfect condition and parked conveniently for us on our return. We would use the hotel again.

This hotel can be seen from any direction, but getting into it is a nightmare. We ended up in Heathrow airport and on the M25 in two different directions. More signs are needed for travellers, we were not the only people having trouble.

Excellent hotel, my only complaint is that there is no facility to move heavy baggage from the car park to the hotel and vice versa on return.

The accommodation was excellent, food a little expensive for the choice of in the resturant, staff very good. Parking arrangements very good and efficient.

Good location for the airport with an excellent bus service, helpful staff, certainly use it again.

Although the hotel seemed busy, check in was reasonably swift. The airport Hoppa bus service was timely. Our return flight was delayed by almost 24 hours, but after a simple telephone call there was no problem.

My car was moved and when I returned, the entire car was covered with a stickly substance because of being parked under a particular tree. I was not happy about that. There was no continental breakfast or even coffee available before getting the early morning shuttle, which was not to my liking.

At the price, this is a great deal. The hotel is very good with the exception of the food, which is overpriced and quite honestly very poor.

Depending on the time of day you check in, eat outside the hotel if you can. There is a pub along the road. The hotel restaurant is a self-service buffet and for the price (£16.95) is not worth a visit. Additionally, if there are a few coach parties in, it is crowded and noisy. What makes the hotel a bargain is the price for parking.

When we arrived back to pick up the car, the hotel had misplaced my car keys. After half an hour they finally found them. Then when I got to my car my interior mirror had been broken off. When questioned about it they said they knew nothing about it and couldnt help me other than giving me masking tape to stick it back on. I then had to drive 2 hrs up the motorway with a patch up job on my interior mirror.

It took nearly an hour to transfer from the hotel to the airport, as a result we nearly missed our flight. Info on this clearly displayed would have been useful.
